Amazing Food, Delicious Cocktails and Great Jazz...a weekend in New Orleans

The weekend started off with some delicious fried food and of course a signature cocktail at Cafe Bon Ton.  Then we explored a bit around town.

Dinner at Luke was amazing...I love some good New Orleans style shrimp and grits!

An Old Fashioned or two closed out our Friday night at Hotel Monteleone aka the Carousel Bar.

River boat viewing on a morning run.

Kind of love this house...turquoise shutters = amazing...oh what fun things you see on runs.

Ran upon Armstrong park and new I had to go in.

Mr. Louis Armstrong himself.

2nd line time

Had to take this one to prove I had actually gone for the run.

Brunch here was a recommendation and good one...ham and eggs with creamy grits really hit the spot.

The side of this food truck was just fun so I had to take a picture.

You know this town is about food when this is on the sidewalk in front of a restaurant.

And of course beignets at Cafe Du Monde where I could not keep powdered sugar off of my face.

I legit was trying to figure out how to buy the giant whisk and be able to get it back on the airplane.

Its always a party in New Orleans...
